Its hard to go on like this

Perhaps it's the way I feel inside that it's not just about right. Or the feeling that there's that 1 extra thing that we need to do. Or the loneliness everytime we say goodbye. The feeling should have lingered but it didn't. Instead, it's like I'm being left in the cold. It's just a weird feeling right now. Everything was okay last Friday, but now it seems everything is back to the "norm", except that this "norm" may not be a normality for me.

It just feels weird, and awkward.

Spending too much

This summer has really taken a toll on my bank account. I think despite doing freelance projects and getting quite nice cheques from them, I think I spend a lot more though. Largely because since I bought my XBOX360, I've been buying a lot of games and each of them cost like $70 bucks a piece! Shattt...gotta cut down!

Hopefully, my bank account will be replenished slightly by a couple more freelance projects that I'm currently doing as well as with my scholarship from SAS. Okay I shall try to keep a five figure bank account by the end of this year. 2 more semesters to go and I'm done. I'm just looking forward to the day that I end my SMU career.

Peace,
Fauzi

The awaited updates

Wow, I haven't blogged in a long time. Almost a month since my last post.

Anyway, I've been up to no good recently and I mean that I have been spending my days going out, doing freelance web development, playing xbox360, experimenting with operating systems and a lot of facebook lol.

Let's get to it 1 thing at a time shall we:

1) Freelance web development: I was tasked to create a website + database management tools by this company and I manage to finish everything in a about a month. Not too shabby. Considering it was like after I got back from the Middle East. Hopefully, I can get another client soon enough before the start of the semester to make my bank account a little bit fatter =)

2) Going out: I've been picking up TENNIS again. Played with Kangli, posted my forehand and backhand videos on facebook and had a lot of comments on them. The old group might come together to play tennis once more. Yay! Oh and I met a lot of good people along the way too, went out with Hana a few times, tea wth CP, Alvin and Farah, Tea with Saidah the travel bug etc. I had the most wonderful date with my honey Farah yesterday. Weeee...haha

3) Playing xbox360. Oh I bought an Xbox360 the other day and some games along with it. I've already completed Gears of War 2 on the normal difficulty and I'm playing it again on the hardcore difficulty setting and right now I'm stuck at a part where the Locust are attacking my base and there's this place we have to defend and the Bloodhounds are just too fast! Other than that, UFC: Undisputed, Fallout 3, Assasin's Creed and Resident Evil 5.

4) Experimenting with operating systems. I removed my Leopard and tried XP on its own and there's some weird redrawing bug that makes the windows leave a trail. I wasn't too happy with it, so I formatted it again and installed to Vista. Much better, except that Vista was quite boring actually. I needed to do work and maybe to play some games but just too boring lol. So right now, I've Time Machined back to my Leopard and everything is just like before.

As I type, I'm actually burning a copy of Windows 7 Release Candidate and I'm gonna try that later. Maybe as a Boot-camped version.

Term 3B is gonna start on June 15. That's another 13 more days. Not very excited about it but oh well.

Peace,
Fauzi

Back from the Middle East

Wild nights, romps in the hotel bedroom while everyone has slept or gone out, long french kissing sessions, these are just some of the things that DID NOT occur during the trip to the Middle East. Instead, we were enchanted with the atmosphere of the different countries and we learn more about the businesses in the region from Real Estate to Financial Centres to Petrol / Petro-chemical companies.

I left with a 16.1kg luggage and came back with a 19.9kg luggage. The number of corporate gifts and brochures and folders that I received was astounding. I didn'
t want to throw any of them. All of them were high quality corporate gifts. I mean, who would give a 8GB thumbdrive as a corporate gift?! Nowhere but the middle east!

I've uploaded all of my photos into Facebook. Albums can be found here:
Finally, here's a shot of all the gifts and brochures that I came back with. A truly amazing journey and I made really good friends during the trip
.

Peace,
Fauzi

Sometimes, men just need the feminine touch

It's hard to explain a thesis on a simple blogpost here but I'll try my best. Sometimes I think that guys, in a relationship, just need the feminine touch. As much as girls like to receive gifts and surprises from guys, we get an amount of satisfaction from giving as well. However, I think what a guy may really yearn for is just the feminine touch in a relationship.

You see, the feminine touch can be anything from simple massages, or just hugging the guy's arm like that or kissing that just shows that the girl do treasure the guy. I think a relationship has to be a 2-way thing, afterall, it does take 2 hands to clap. When a girl does any of the above-mentioned activities, it triggers off a set of emotions in a guy, sending signals to his brain that the girl does indeed care for him and that she's showing some concern.

Other ways of showing care and concern include staying at the hospital bed throughout his stay in the hospital but then again, not all guys go to the hospital for long periods so this is not very applicable.

Can problems arise from the lack of the feminine touch or the non-existence of it? Perhaps it might, unless the girl is able to show other ways of care and concern to the guy. But then again, no studies are currently available to prove (or disprove) this fact. Furthermore, what the other ways of care and concern are, are still in the dark.

Peace,
Fauzi
